Christian’s Life Saved at Jesus Loves Me Children’s Center
Five-year-old Christian arrived at the Jesus Loves Me Children’s Center in critical condition. For six days, he was in a coma, unresponsive, unable to move, and barely breathing. Only a faint trembling in his throat showed any sign of life. His father, Alex, feared the worst but never stopped praying for a miracle.
The moment they arrived at Jesus Loves Me, the medical team jumped into action with calm and unwavering focus. Dr. Mikey spent over three hours at Christian’s bedside, carefully monitoring him and performing lifesaving blood work on the spot. Nurses and staff worked around the clock, providing blood transfusions, medications, and critical care to stabilize him. Every action was carried out with skill, precision, and compassion.
While Christian received treatment, the team also cared for his father, offering reassurance and prayer so Alex could trust that his son was in safe hands. Alex shared, “The nurses did well by helping us…they focused on my son…they saved many lives in Liberia here, including my son. I am very thankful to God for that.”
Slowly, Christian began to respond. His breathing strengthened, his eyes opened, and he regained movement and alertness. In the following days, he was able to sit up, eat, and reconnect with the world around him.
Today, Christian is healthy and has returned home with his family
