His Safe Haven
His Safe Haven is a village for children with special needs on the Jesus Loves Me Children's Center compound in Bong County, Liberia. Here, children who are often overlooked are loved, cared for and raised in a family.
Why it matters
In Liberia, children with disabilities often face stigma, and many families can't get the care their children need. At His Safe Haven, children live in family homes with caretaker mothers, get medical care and good food every day, and grow up knowing they are loved by God and by the people around them.
“One child at a time, we are changing perceptions and improving precious lives.”

Village life
Family homes
Each family home has a caretaker mother who raises the children in her care every day, giving them stability, comfort and a real sense of family.
Medical care
Missionary physician assistants oversee each child's medical care, and the Children's Center is right next door when a child needs more.
Meals
A dedicated cook team makes sure every child gets balanced, nutritious meals, every single day.
Outreach
Twice a week, the team welcomes children with special needs from nearby villages, so families don't have to face it alone.

Right next door
His Safe Haven sits on the same compound as the Children's Center, Liberia's busiest pediatric hospital. When a child in the village gets sick, doctors and nurses are steps away.
Together, they make sure the children who need the most care get it, in Jesus' name.
