One mission. One man. 38 hours. RECORD BROKEN.
On June 28-30, 2026, local golfer Mike Woodard broke the World Record for the longest continuous game of golf — 38 incredible hours — raising $180,000 for life-saving children's healthcare in Liberia.

Setting the Record Straight.
The previous world record for consecutive hours of golf was 36 hours. Mike Woodard broke it with 38 hours.
On Sunday, June 28 at 5pm, Mike teed off at Cartersville Country Club and didn't stop until he had played more consecutive hours of golf than anyone in recorded history — all while raising $180,000 for children who desperately need healthcare in rural Liberia.
But this was never really about golf. It was about setting the record straight:
children are dying from preventable diseases like malaria, and we can do something about it.
Meet Mike Woodard
Mike Woodard is a husband, father of three, and lifelong golfer from Cartersville, Georgia. He has been married to his high school sweetheart and beautiful bride, Nicole, for 15 years. Together, they are raising three boys, Kason 12, Kash 10, and Kannon 3.
Mike is the founder of High Handy Caps and recently launched an insurance benefits company. But if you ask him what matters most, it is simple. His faith, his family, and living a life that makes an eternal impact.
Golf has always been part of Mike's story. But the role it plays in his life has changed in a big way.
There was a time when golf was not just an escape. It was everything. It was selfish. Completely selfish. Mike will tell you himself, he did not think about anyone else. Not his family. Not his purpose. Just himself.
And it almost cost him everything.
Today, that same game means something completely different.
His game may not be what it once was, but he would not trade where he is now for anything. Because now, golf is about people. It is about connection. It is about the conversations, the laughter, and the relationships built along the way.
That belief is what led to the creation of High Handy Caps, built around the idea that golf is not defined by the shots you hit, but by the moments between them.
What once pulled him away from what mattered most has now become a platform to live it out.
A platform to bring light, to create joy, and most importantly, to glorify God.
Because there are not many places where you get four uninterrupted hours walking side by side with someone. Talking. Listening. Encouraging. Investing. Mike believes that is not by accident. That is an opportunity.
So when his friend Zach Brown shared what LIVE2540 is doing through their children's health center in Liberia, Mike did not hesitate.
This is what it is all about.
Redemption. Purpose. Impact.
In June, Mike will spend 38 plus hours swinging a golf club. But this is not about endurance. It is about purpose.
It is about children who need healthcare.
It is about lives that can be saved.
It is about souls that can be reached.
LIVE2540's mission is rooted in Matthew 25:40, "whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." That truth is the foundation behind the name, and the heartbeat behind this mission.
And here is the reality.
Thirty eight hours of golf sounds like a lot.
But thirty eight dollars can help save a child's life.
That is it.
This is bigger than one person. This is an invitation.
An invitation to be part of something that truly matters.
To give. To share. To step in and make a difference.
Mike is not just playing golf. He is inviting you into a story of redemption, purpose, and impact. Because together, we can change lives. And that is a mission worth showing up for.

Your Gift Saves Lives
Every dollar goes directly toward life-saving healthcare for children in Liberia — medicine, treatment, and hope for families who have nowhere else to turn.
That's less than a round of golf. But for a child with malaria, it's everything.
The $25.40 Challenge
Want to cheer Mike on and help save lives at the same time? Here's your chance.
Pledge a number of holes you believe Mike will complete. If he reaches your number, you donate $25.40 for each hole — providing life-saving healthcare for children in Liberia.
Example: You pledge 45 holes. Mike finishes with 73.
That's enough to treat dozens of children with malaria, pneumonia, and other preventable diseases.
Mike could complete well over 100 holes. How many will you pledge?
