This September, we can collectively give one of the greatest gifts of all:

The Gift of Education.

Improving the Literacy Rate

It’s hard to imagine a life as an adult without the ability to read, but that’s many Liberian’s reality. 47% of school-aged children were not enrolled in school in 2019. We’re changing that by sending 297 children from K-12 to school.

Sending Kids to College

Very few children get the opportunity to go to college in Liberia. Currently, LIVE2540 has 33 students on scholarship at the university, studying nursing, theology, agriculture, and teaching.

Expanding Learning Spaces

Our school in Balama is growing tremendously with the addition of a 10-12th grade classroom. Kids of all ages are receiving an education central to their future, outfitted with school supplies and uniforms.

The Problem

In Liberia, access to education remains a significant challenge. In 2019, around 47% of school-aged children were not enrolled in school. This means that nearly half of the children in Liberia are missing out on the opportunity to receive an education. Young girls are affected the most, with a 73% dropout rate before 5th grade.

The Solution

Throughout the month of September, all donations and purposeful purchases will go back to education, helping provide an updated classroom space, scholarships, trained teachers, uniforms, and school supplies to hundreds of kiddos so they can keep learning and dreaming even bigger.

From War Orphan to Principal: Prince’s Story

We believe that there are countless children across Liberia like Prince, who will one day give back to their communities as Teachers, Principals, Doctors, and more. All they need is to be able to take that first step into a classroom like Prince did so many years ago.
